Field Day carried something unique and special this year! Thank you to EVERY volunteer that sacrificed your time and treasure to help make this day so memorable! Thank you to our Middle School team leaders who truly lead by example and shined for their team and our God!!
When/Where:
Field Day event rotations will start at 12:10pm and will be located in the main K-3rd Elementary playground. Field Day events will conclude at 2:07pm and all teams will convene for an awards ceremony, Popsicles and fun with a dunk tank. Who: LCS Students in 1st - 6th grade will participate in 12 Events. Clothing: There will be several events that involve water this year and your child can expect to get WET! In keeping with the LCS Dress code I suggest the following (these are recommendations only and are NOT required):
If you have any questions regarding appropriate attire please contact myself or the office BEFORE field day. The LCS Dress Code Standards must be met regardless of what is chosen to wear at Field Day. If a child is inappropriately dressed they will not be able to participate until they change clothing.
Team Structure:
There are 3 separate grade/groups each consisting of 8 teams that are made up via a combination of 2 grades. Grade/Groups are: 1st-2nd | 3rd-4th | 5th-6th) Grade/Groups will compete directly against the other 8 teams within their grade/group throughout field day. Awards:
We will have 2 award categories this year. 1st - 3rd place Grade/Group Awards: There will be a 1st, 2nd, & 3rd place winner in all 3 grade/groups (1st-2nd | 3rd-4th | 5th-6th) . Field Day Spirit Champion: Points will be tallied by individual teams (24 teams). The ONE team that earns the most spirit points will be awarded Spirit Champion; the highest honor of the day.
